Important Style Information
I have made RapidTicker to be extremely flexible. The only way I could do this was to design 3 version. They are all the identical tickers. All function the exact same. The only difference is the in the colors. I have left my original Ticker in the package. The two new ones are designed transparent. You choose the version that best fits your project.

This bit of Flash is my second release. I am hoping to have more time to release Flash Stacks and Blocks. It is the little interesting touches on a site that keep visitors there longer.
Tutorial
This is meant to serve as a starting point for working with RapidTicker for Stacks. I strongly recommend that you use the files provided in the test files you downloaded or the files that were provided with your purchase. This will insure that we are all looking at the same files. Once you get the stock files working you can then customize the XML file (This is the plain text file that has the text that will appear in your Ticker).
Start with copying your files to your hard drive. You will need these to continue. All the steps are to be preformed from the edit screen in RapidWeaver.
As you see there are only a few steps in adding this to your project. It is pretty simple work, but very exacting. All spelling must be exact. My most common problem is usually spelling. Case matters. If the file is newsticker.swf don't type Newsticker.swf. This problem will not reveal itself until you upload to your server.
You may change the size of your ticker by scaling it. The actual dimensions can't be changed. The XML file is self explanitory. Standard link rules apply. I hope you enjoy using RapidTicker.

- Drag the RapidTicker.stack into your Stacks folder and restart RapidWeaver. This folder is located in: current username/Library/Application Support. The RapidBook Stack is now ready for use. Drag the RapidTicker.stack onto this Stacks page.
- Next we need to add the files to your assets. You will see two files in red already there. Do not remove these untill you add your replacement files. Go to the page Inspector and click the Header icon. In the middle of the window click the tab on the far right marked "Assets". In the bottom right corner now click the "Add Files..." button. Next navigate to the files you copied to your hard drive and add the newsticker.swf file. Click the "Add Files..." button again and add the "Ticker" folder.
- Click the "i" button on the RapidTicker stack you dragged onto the page. This opens a typical Stacks dialog box. Make sure the "Path to newsticker.swf" area has the path to your swf file (assets/newsticker.swf). The assets directory must always be included in the path. Please be aware that you may change the name of the swf file to whatever you like. You may not change the name of any other files. You may not change the path either. The reason for this is because that information is embedded within the swf file.
- If you followed my instuctions.... Hit Preview! TaDaaaaa There is your Ticker!!!
