RapidTicker for Blocks
This is meant to serve as a starting point for working with RapidTicker for Blocks. I strongly recommend that you use the files provided in the test files you downloaded or the files that were provided with your purchase. This will insure that we are all looking at the same files. Once you get the stock files working you can then customize the contents of the RapidTicker.
Start with copying your files to your hard drive. You will need these to continue. All the steps are to be preformed from the edit screen in RapidWeaver.
As you see there are only a few steps in adding this to your project. It is pretty simple work, but very exacting. All spelling must be exact. My most common problem is usually spelling. Case matters. If the file is newsticker.swf don't type Newsticker.swf. This problem will not reveal itself until you upload to your server.
Take your time and do frequent testing as you customize RapidTicker. RapidTicker can be scaled only. You can't change the shape of the ticker. If you change the shape of the ticker RapidTicker will just scale itself to the smallest scale size. I recommend duplicating the XML file and working from a copy. This way you always have the original. You may name your ticker whatever you like. DO NOT CHANGE THE NAME OR PATH OF THE XML FILE. This info is embedded in the swf file.

- Drag the RapidTicker.block onto this page. The RapidBook will still not appear. To have the book appear you must now go to your Blocks Library and drag the RapidTicker block into your document. Scale (hold the shift key) while you size the block. Size it so there is about an inch on either side.
- Next we need to add the files to your assets. You will see three files in red already there. Do not remove these untill you add your replacement files. Go to the page Inspector and click the Header icon. In the middle of the window click the tab on the far right marked "Assets". In the bottom right corner now click the "Add Files..." button. Next navigate to the files you copied to your hard drive and add the swf file (named newsticker.swf). Click the "Add Files..." button again and add the newsticker.xml file.
- On the bottom right of the main RapidWeaver window there is an icon labeled "Smart Info". Click that while the RapidTicker block is selected and type the full name including extension of your swf file (newsticker.swf or similar).
- If you followed my instuctions.... Hit Preview! TaDaaaaa There is your ticker.

RapidTicker for Blocks includes 3 versions. They are all the same in function. The version shown here is the original version. In addition to this one I also include a transparent version for light themes, and a transparent version for dark themes.
